Trina's Cottage

This is the cutest cottage right on the Lake.
This plant was on the side of her house. Does anyone know what it is?

This was one of my favorite things. This crown was in the middle of her dining room table.

She had her table all decorated with her pretty dishes, candles lit. Just a perfect setting.

The door opens to a darling deck over looking the lake.

What a setting!

This is her living room, pink walls, lots of white. This leather chair was probably

the most manly thing in the house. She does have a husband!

This is her darling guest room that will be turning into her daughters room shortly.

How cute is this kitchen. This stove is the cutest thing I have ever seen.

Check out the lighted cabinet above with vintage china and lots of pink.

but a new baby is coming. So Audrey will move to the now guest room.

Pasadena Showcase

If you ever get a chance to travel to Pasadena California in the Spring, this was always my favorite thing to do each year with girl friends.

The Pasadena Showcase House, Presented by the Junion Philharmonic.

This is the largest, oldest, and most successful house and garden tour in the nation.

This year they picked this beautiful 1917 house. This magnificiant Italian Renaissance Revival estate features all the bells and whisteles you could ask for. 25 designers reflect the house historical past while showcasing the latest syle and design. Now when they started, it sure didn't look like this. They normally choose a home that needs attention and turn it into a spectacular showplace. Next Year, I am coming down to California and dragging my friend Roxann with me.

Below are some pictures from this house. I wish I could find some garden pictures, as they normally do an unbelievable job on the grounds.

They always have music playing, great food, and a boutique of arts.

I can't wait until next year!

Back from Farm Chicks

Finally went to the Farm Chicks show yesterday. I went with my friend Cindy so we had a girls day shopping and driving. Wow, what a crowd! We got there at 9:00 to stand in line and we got in the doors at about 10:30. The line was way way down the street and around the corner. Most people had to wait about 1-2 hours to get in. I'm glad we got there early because at about 12:00 you couldn't move, there were so many people. It was good to see people shopping and buying!

I came back with a few treasures myself.

The booths were so creative.

This was at about 10:30, so not to crowded. Even men came with the wifes. After that It was too hard to take pictures, no room to focus!

I ran into some of the Snohomish girls at Inside Out, and Faded Elegance. I saw lots of my

customers and fellow store owners as well.

Fun Day!

Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

When I was in California a couple of weeks ago, I spotted this

amazing plant at my friend Roxann's house. I had forgotten about this plant

as I had one at my house when I lived in California 18 years ago. It was my favorite plant as

it goes from pale lavender to lavender to purple. The name of the plant is yesterday, today, and tomorrow. So..... I am on a mission to see if it grows in the Northwest. It may just be a California plant, but I am going to try to find it. Maybe at Christensons!

It is so beautiful and you should try to find one as well.
