Betty's Garden in the Fall

Betty Dorotik is one of our artists at Haley's Cottage. Betty works in watercolor, botanical illustration, colored pencil, and calligraphy. She finds inspiration from her garden where birds, butterflies and bees gather. Her wooded property provides the habitat that these little guys insist upon, thick brush, woodland canopy and absolutely no visitors. Her gardens are amazing. It's fun to see how the leaves have changed and her garden changes for the fall. I can't wait to see her summer pictures.

This window box is amazing!

I love kale. It reminds me of when we moved here 19 years ago and I couldn't figure out why everyone had cabbage in their yards (and bark). I am now a big kale fan.

Maybe if I had a garden shed like this my yard would look better, do you think!

Lisa's Haunted House

For all of you Halloween lovers, here is a tour of Lisa's House. For all of you know Lisa, she is the creator of all our vintage jeweled items. Lisa loves Halloween and goes all out in decorating her house. The cat's who are in quite alot of the photo's are her little helpers.

Funky Junk Sisters Girls Night Out Fundraiser-Too Fun!

Last Night my friends Cindy and Donna and I, closed the shops at 4:00 and headed down to the Funky Junk Sisters Fundraiser Show for Breast Cancer. Today is the actual show. As we entered, we were greeted by this beautiful pink feather tree decked out with one of kind ornaments from all the vendors at the show. I'm hoping they call me today to tell me I won the tree. It was a really fun show with some great booths and fun vendors.

This little lady on the right was the cutest thing. Her head was an orange lamp globe all lit up.
One of my favorites in the show. I can't wait to show my friend Lisa as she is a Halloween nut.
She'll probably whip one up today.

Really cute jewelry from Longbranch Art Farm. She also had her cute dog in her booth!

Here is Poppyseed Girls. Their booth was very crowded every time we went by.

Everything was mostly turquoise, red, and black. Very cute with unique home decor and gifts.

Their home store is in Stanwood, so they came along way.

We had a great time and saw alot of familiar faces, found a few treasures, and had lots of girl talk on the way there and back on our little road trip to Puyallup.

Watch NCIS Tonight

For all you ladies who watch NCIS, tonight's episode was filmed

at my Mom's House in California. I really wanted to go down and watch the filming and hopefully meet Mark Harmon, but....... So if you get a chance to see it, this is the house where I grew up at. I guess it's totally decked out in Halloween decor. Growing up in Southern California, all of us girls had a crush on Mark Harmon. He is just as cute now even with

all the gray.

Our Feathered Friends Moved into their Condo

Yeah! The condo arrived a few days ago and our little parakeets are so happy.

They love the perch at the top and spend most of their day there. They can see everything that is happening at haley's cottage.

The white one on the right is the stinker. He escaped the other cage and flew around the shop all day. It took us 10 hours to catch him. With the new cage he can't squeeze through the wire. So we are all happy.
